What is the "flop"?
The flop is the second round of community cards dealt in games like Texas hold 'em and Omaha. It consists of three face-up cards placed in the center of the table for all players to use in combination with their own hole cards to make the best hand. After the flop is dealt, a new betting round begins, where players can check, bet, raise, or fold based on the strength of their hand. The flop is followed by the turn, the fourth community card, and the river, the fifth and final community card.
