A blackpoll is a small songbird with striking black and white plumage. Blackpolls are known for their remarkable migratory abilities, undertaking one of the longest nonstop flights of any bird, crossing over the Atlantic Ocean from their breeding grounds in North America to their wintering areas in South America.
