What is "milk"?

Milk is a white liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals. The flavor ranges from bland and light in low-fat varieties to richer and slightly nutty in whole or full-fat milk. Milk is mainly composed of water, milk fat and milk proteins, along with carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
