What is "immunosuppression"?
Immunosuppression refers to the weakening or reduction of the immune system's activity. Immunosuppression is often used in medical settings to prevent the rejection of transplanted organs or to manage autoimmune diseases, where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body's own tissues.
