What is a "tennis court"?
A tennis court is a flat, rectangular area where the game of tennis is played. It is divided into two halves by a net that stretches across the center. The court can be made of different surfaces, such as grass, clay, or hard material, each affecting the speed and bounce of the ball. The court is marked with lines that define the boundaries, including the baseline at the back, the service boxes, and the sidelines. Players hit the ball back and forth over the net, aiming to land it within the lines on the opponent's side of the court.
