What is "first-person"?

First-person perspective allows the speaker to express personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings. For example, in the sentence "I am going to the store," "I" is a first-person pronoun indicating that the speaker is talking about themselves. Similarly, in the sentence "We enjoyed the concert," "we" indicates a group that includes the speaker.
