What is "turbinate"?

Turbinate, also known as nasal concha or nasal turbinate, refers to the structures located inside the nasal cavity. There are three pairs of turbinates: superior, middle, and inferior. The turbinates also help to increase the surface area of the nasal cavity, allowing for better contact between the air and the nasal tissues.
