People may use surrogacy for various reasons, such as infertility or health issues. The baby can be created using the surrogate's egg, one of the intended parents' eggs, or a donated egg, and it is usually the intended parents' sperm that is used. In some cases, donor sperm may also be used. After the baby is born, the surrogate gives the baby to the intended parents.
