Drypoint is a printmaking technique where an image is directly scratched or etched into a metal or acrylic plate using a sharp tool. After creating the image, ink is applied to the plate and then wiped off the surface, leaving ink only in the lines and grooves. The plate is then pressed onto paper, transferring the ink and producing a print. This method creates rich, textured lines and is valued for its unique, hand-crafted quality.
