What is "bandy"?

Bandy is a winter game much akin to ice hockey and is played on a huge ice field with two teams fighting to maneuver a ball into the opposing team's goal using sticks. Each team has eleven players, one of whom is the goalkeeper, and is played with rules very similar to those of soccer. The ice field is much larger than hockey rinks and the game gives emphasis to passing, speed, and teamwork. This game is fast-paced and requires good strategic gameplay, forcing the players to combine several aspects: skill, endurance, and coordination.
