What is "ultrasonography"?
Ultrasonography is a medical imaging technique that uses sound waves to create pictures of the inside of the body. The returning sound waves are then captured and turned into images displayed on a screen. Ultrasonography is commonly used to examine organs, monitor pregnancies, and help certain medical procedures. It is a safe method that does not involve any surgery or needles and does not use radiation, making it a useful tool for evaluating various health conditions.
