What is a "fixture"?
A fixture is an object that is attached to a building or structure in such a way that it becomes a permanent part of it. Fixtures are typically fixed in place and cannot be easily removed without damaging the property. Common examples of fixtures include built-in cabinets, light fixtures, plumbing systems, and heating systems. These items are often considered part of the property when it is sold or rented. Fixtures are usually installed to enhance the function, appearance, or comfort of a space.
