What is a "drop shot"?
A drop shot in racquet sports is a delicate shot made by hitting the ball lightly so that it just clears the net and lands softly in the opponent's court, usually close to the net. The goal is to make it difficult for the opponent to reach and return the ball because it requires quick movement and precision. The drop shot is often used to catch the opponent off guard, especially when they are positioned far from the net. It requires good control and timing to execute effectively.
