Who is a "designer"?
A designer is a professional who creates original and unique designs for clothing, accessories, or footwear. They typically work for fashion houses, and retail brands, or operate their own fashion labels. Fashion designers are responsible for every aspect of the design process, including creating sketches, selecting fabrics and colors, choosing trims and embellishments, and overseeing the production process. They must have a keen eye for aesthetics, a deep understanding of the fashion industry, and a strong ability to forecast trends and anticipate consumer demand. Fashion designers often draw inspiration from a variety of sources, such as art, culture, history, and the natural world, and they must constantly adapt to changing fashion trends and consumer preferences.
