What is a "cufflink"?
A cufflink is a small piece of jewelry designed to fasten the cuffs of dress shirts. They typically consist of two parts: a decorative front piece, often featuring a precious metal, gemstones, or enamel work, and a toggle-style fastener on the back that is inserted through the buttonhole on the cuff. Cufflinks are often worn on special occasions or formal events, such as weddings, business meetings, or black-tie events, and are typically worn by men but can also be worn by women. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and styles to suit different tastes and occasions. Some cufflinks are purely decorative, while others may have functional features such as a built-in watch or compass.
