What is a "waterbed"?

A waterbed is a type of bed where the mattress is filled with water instead of traditional materials like springs or foam. The water inside the mattress provides a unique sleeping experience, as it can conform to the body’s shape and offer support. Waterbeds come in two types: hard-side, where the water mattress is placed inside a frame, and soft-side, which has a foam edge with the water mattress inside. They are known for providing a smooth, stable sleeping surface but require maintenance to prevent leaks and ensure the water is at the desired temperature.
