What is a "limpkin"?

A limpkin is a fascinating bird that possesses distinctive features and behaviors. With its long neck, medium-sized body, and mottled brown plumage, the limpkin has a somewhat prehistoric appearance. It is primarily found in wetland habitats, such as marshes, swamps, and riversides, where it hunts for its preferred prey: apple snails.
