Angioplasty is a medical procedure used to widen blood vessels that are narrowed or blocked. In some cases, a stent, which is a a small mesh tube, may be inserted to keep the artery open. It helps improve blood circulation and reduce symptoms such as chest pain or leg pain caused by reduced blood flow.
