Core drill

trapano a nucleo, trapano a corona
a specialized drill for creating large-diameter holes or cylindrical cores in concrete, asphalt, or other hard materials
What is a "core drill"?
A core drill is a tool used to remove a cylinder of material, creating a clean, precise hole. It is commonly used for drilling through hard surfaces like concrete, stone, or brick. The drill has a hollow, circular bit with teeth on the edge that cuts through the material while leaving a core, or core sample, inside the bit. Core drills are often used in construction, geological surveys, or testing, where a clean, deep hole is required without damaging the surrounding material. They can be powered by electricity, gasoline, or hydraulics.
