A CRT TV, short for cathode-ray tube television, is an older type of television that uses a large, heavy glass tube to display images. It works by shooting an electron beam onto a phosphorescent screen, which lights up to create pictures. CRT TVs were widely used before flat-screen TVs became common and were known for their durability and good color quality.
