Rugby union is a team sport played with an oval-shaped ball. The objective is to score points by carrying the ball over the opponent’s goal line or kicking it through their goalposts. The game involves 15 players on each team, who play in a mix of positions, including forwards and backs. Players can run with the ball, pass it to teammates, or kick it. Tackling is allowed to stop the opposing team from advancing. The game is divided into two halves, and teams earn points through tries, which is scoring a touchdown-like goal, conversions, which are extra points after a try, penalty kicks, and drop goals.
