What is an "ice skate"?
An ice skate is a type of footwear designed for use on ice, typically used for ice skating or ice hockey. The skate consists of a boot or shoe with a blade attached to the bottom, made of hardened steel and sharpened to a fine edge. The blade has a curved shape, allowing the skater to glide smoothly over the ice and perform a variety of movements, including turns, jumps, and spins.
