What is "éclair"?
An éclair is a classic French pastry that is made from a choux pastry dough that is piped into long, thin shapes and then baked until golden brown. Once cooled, the pastry is filled with a rich and creamy filling, such as vanilla custard or whipped cream, and then topped with a layer of chocolate ganache or icing. The pastry is known for its light and airy texture, as well as its sweet flavor. Éclairs can be customized with a variety of different fillings and toppings, such as coffee-flavored cream or caramel sauce, and can be made in both small and large sizes. They are often served as a dessert or a sweet treat with coffee or tea and are a popular choice in bakeries and cafes around the world.
