What is a "side collision"?

A side collision occurs when one vehicle crashes into the side of another. This type of accident often happens at intersections or when a vehicle is changing lanes. The impact is usually on the doors or the side panels of the cars involved, which can cause significant damage, especially if the vehicle being hit is a smaller or less protected one.
