What is "pickleball"?

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is played on a smaller court with a net, using a paddle and a lightweight, hole-punched plastic ball. The game can be played in singles or doubles, and the objective is to score points by hitting the ball over the net into the opponent’s side of the court, ensuring the ball lands within the boundaries. The ball is served with an upward motion from below the waist, and players are not allowed to hit the ball before it bounces once on each side of the net during the serve and return.
