Who is a "wing forward"?
A wing forward is a player in sports like soccer or rugby who plays near the sides of the field but is also part of the attacking group. This player’s role is to support the offense by making runs along the wings, helping to create scoring opportunities, and sometimes taking shots at the goal. Wing forwards must be fast and agile, able to outmaneuver defenders and provide crosses or passes to teammates in better positions to score.
