What is "fakie"?
Fakie in skateboarding refers to riding the skateboard with the opposite foot forward from a skater's regular stance, but with the rider still moving forward. It is essentially riding "backward" while maintaining control and balance. For example, if a skater normally rides with their left foot forward, riding fakie means they would have their right foot forward instead. Fakie is often used in various tricks and maneuvers, and skaters must adjust their movements and technique to maintain stability while riding in this position. It is common in both street and park skateboarding.
