What is a "bowling ball"?
A bowling ball is a heavy, round ball used in the sport of bowling. It is typically made of materials such as polyester or reactive resin, which allow it to roll smoothly down the lane. The ball has three holes for the fingers and thumb, allowing the player to grip it securely. Bowling balls generally weigh between 6 and 16 pounds and have a circumference of around 27 inches. The objective in bowling is to roll the ball down a lane toward ten pins arranged in a triangle formation, with the goal of knocking down as many pins as possible with each roll.
