What is an "orange-tip"?

An orange-tip is a captivating butterfly species in various parts of Europe and Asia. It derives its name from the distinctive bright orange tips present on the upper side of the males' forewings. Conversely, the females lack the orange tips and display a mottled green and white pattern, providing effective camouflage when resting on plants.
