What is a "blind snake"?

A blind snake, also known as the worm snake, is a small, non-venomous snake characterized by its slender body and reduced eyes that are barely visible. It spends most of its life burrowing underground or hiding in leaf litter, and it feeds primarily on small invertebrates. Despite its name, the blind snake is not actually blind but has limited visual capabilities due to its small eyes.
