What is a "troll"?
A troll is a mythical creature found in Scandinavian folklore, often depicted as a large, ugly being with a brutish appearance. Trolls are usually associated with mountains, forests, or other remote areas. They are commonly portrayed as unfriendly or malevolent, known for their strength and their tendency to cause trouble for humans. In many stories, trolls are depicted as living in caves or under bridges, and they may engage in acts of mischief or violence. However, there are also tales where trolls are shown as having more complex or even sympathetic qualities. Overall, trolls represent the fear of the unknown and the dangers lurking in remote and wild places.
