What is "tarot"?
Tarot is a set of 78 cards, often used for fortune-telling or as a tool for self-reflection. The deck is divided into two main parts: the Major Arcana, consisting of 22 cards with symbolic imagery representing significant life events or spiritual lessons, and the Minor Arcana, which includes 56 cards divided into four suits, traditionally cups, swords, coins, and wands. Each suit has 14 cards, ranging from 2 to 10, with an Ace, Page, Knight, Queen, and King. The deck is often used for readings where the cards are shuffled and drawn to gain insight into different aspects of life. Tarot cards are widely used for personal guidance, storytelling, and divination.
