a metal urn used to heat and boil water for making tea, commonly found in Russia and other countries
What is a "samovar"?
A samovar is a traditional Russian metal urn used to heat and boil water for making tea. It typically consists of a large central container for holding water, surrounded by a metal pipe or chimney filled with hot coals or charcoal. The heat source warms the water in the central container, creating steam that rises through a hollow pipe in the middle of the samovar. Additional teapots or containers filled with concentrated tea are placed on top of the samovar to keep them warm and ready for serving. Samovars come in various sizes and designs, ranging from simple to ornate and decorative, often adorned with intricate engravings or patterns.
