What is "liposuction"?
Liposuction is a surgical procedure used to remove unwanted fat from specific areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, or arms. Liposuction is commonly chosen by individuals looking to improve their overall body shape. Recovery involves some swelling, bruising, and discomfort. Most patients are able to resume gentle activities within a few days and normal activities within a few weeks, while the final results of liposuction become more noticeable as swelling goes down, revealing a slimmer and more defined body shape.
