What is "cullet"?
Cullet is recycled or broken pieces of glass that are melted down and reused in glassmaking. It can come from manufacturing waste, discarded glass products, or offcuts from glassblowing and other glassworking processes. Adding cullet to new glass batches helps lower the melting temperature, making the glass production process more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Cullet can be used to make new glass items, ranging from bottles to art glass.
