A physician's assistant, also known as a PA, is a healthcare provider who works under the supervision of a licensed physician to provide medical care to patients. They are trained to perform various tasks such as taking medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering and analyzing medical tests, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing patient education and counseling.
