What is a "bicuspid "?

A bicuspid, also known as a premolar, is a type of tooth located between the canine and molar teeth in the human mouth. Adults typically have eight bicuspids, four in the upper jaw and four in the lower jaw, with two on each side. Bicuspids have a flattened surface with two cusps, or points, that are adapted for chewing and grinding food.
