The waterbuck is a robust antelope species that inhabits savannas, grasslands, and woodlands near rivers, lakes, and swamps in Africa. They have a distinctive shaggy coat that is brown to greyish in color, with a white ring on their rump and a white bib-like patch on their throat. Males are larger than females and have impressive curved horns that can reach up to 100 cm (39 inches) in length.
