What is a "One Day International"?
A One Day International (ODI) is a format of cricket where each team plays a single innings, and the game is completed in one day. In an ODI, each team is allowed to bat for a maximum of 50 overs, which is 300 balls, and the aim is to score as many runs as possible within that limit. The opposing team tries to dismiss the batsmen and restrict the runs. ODIs are played between international teams and are usually part of a series or tournament.
