What is a "wall plug"?

A wall plug is a small device used to help secure screws or nails into walls or other surfaces that may not provide enough support on their own, like drywall or plaster. It is typically made of plastic or metal and is inserted into a hole drilled in the wall. When a screw is driven into the wall plug, the plug expands, creating a tight grip inside the hole and helping to hold the screw firmly in place.
