What is "embellishment"?
Embellishment is the addition of extra details or features to something in order to make it more attractive, interesting, or impressive. It often involves exaggerating or enhancing aspects of a story, description, or object. For example, if a person describes a simple event with dramatic and elaborate details to make it sound more exciting, they are using embellishment. In writing, embellishments can add flair but might also stretch the truth or distort the original facts.
