Unlike a soft hand, where the Ace can be counted as either 1 or 11, a hard hand has less flexibility in how it can be played. This makes it more challenging, as the total value of the hand is fixed and cannot be adjusted by the value of the Ace. A hard hand is often considered riskier to play, especially when the total is close to 21.
