What is "hemorrhage"?

Hemorrhage is a term used to describe excessive bleeding from blood vessels, either inside the body or outside of it. It can occur suddenly or because of various reasons, such as injury, trauma, or underlying medical conditions. Symptoms of hemorrhage depend on the location and intensity of the bleeding but may include bleeding from wounds, bruising, nosebleeds, vomiting blood, coughing up blood, or blood in the stool or urine. Severe hemorrhage can lead to life-threatening complications, such as shock or organ damage, and requires immediate medical attention.
