What are "warp and weft"?
In weaving, warp and weft are the two main sets of threads used to create fabric. The warp threads run vertically on the loom and are held in place while the fabric is being woven. The weft threads run horizontally and are woven over and under the warp threads. By interlacing the weft through the warp, different patterns and designs can be created in the fabric.
