What is "Advanced Placement"?
Advanced Placement (AP) refers to a program that offers high school students the opportunity to take college-level courses and earn college credit or advanced standing before graduating. AP courses cover a variety of subjects, such as mathematics, science, history, and language, and are designed to challenge students with a more rigorous curriculum. At the end of the course, students can take an AP exam, and depending on their performance, they may receive college credit or be placed into higher-level courses when they enter college. This program aims to prepare students for higher education and provide them with an advantage in their academic careers.
