The Kabaragoya, also known as the Sri Lankan water monitor, is a large lizard species native to Sri Lanka and parts of India. It is one of the largest lizard species in the world, reaching lengths of up to 3 meters. The Kabaragoya has a robust body, long tail, and distinctive yellow and black patterning. It is semi-aquatic and often found near water sources such as rivers, lakes, and wetlands. Kabaragoyas are opportunistic predators, feeding on a variety of prey including fish, amphibians, birds, and small mammals.
