The pork is then thinly sliced and served with fresh lettuce leaves, pickled vegetables, and condiments such as ssamjang, a spicy paste made from soybean paste and red pepper paste, as well as raw garlic, sliced chili peppers, and salted shrimp. To eat, diners typically take a lettuce leaf, add a piece of the pork belly, some condiments and wrap it up like a burrito.
