Ceramic forming refers to the different methods used to shape clay into ceramic items. After shaping, the clay is dried and then fired in a kiln, which is a special oven that heats the clay to high temperatures to harden it. These methods allow artists and potters to create a wide range of ceramic objects, from simple bowls and vases to delicate sculptures and tiles.
