A grager is a noisemaker used primarily during Jewish celebrations, especially during Purim. It consists of a handle with a spinning mechanism inside, which produces a loud noise when twisted or shaken. Traditionally, the grager is used to make noise whenever the name of the villain, Haman, is mentioned during the reading of the Megillah, a key Purim ritual.
