What is "herbalism"?
Herbalism is the practice of using plants and plant extracts for medicinal purposes to encourage health and well-being. Practitioners of herbalism, known as herbalists, use various parts of plants, such as leaves, flowers, roots, and seeds, to create remedies for treating illnesses and supporting overall health. Herbal remedies can be consumed as teas, drops, capsules, or applied as creams or ointments. Many cultures have a long history of herbal medicine, which is often based on traditional knowledge and experience passed down through generations. While herbalism is considered a natural approach to healthcare, it is important for individuals to have discussions with qualified herbalists or healthcare professionals before using herbal remedies, especially when combining them with standard medical treatments.
